Wow! This speaks volumes to me! Currently preparing for the bar exam of my jurisdiction... against my will 😔 Am only doing it 10 years after graduating from law school because the Lord showed me in dreams that I should sit for the bar. So for the very 1st time of my life, I'll truly surrender this part of I'm life I've always been the sole captain of: my career.
I have trouble focusing on my studies because I have never seen myself as a practicing lawyer, even though I was told several times I'd be good at it. Besides, I feel like I am doing something which is forcing me to be tied to a country I can't wait to leave.
I have always dreamed of helping and empowering young people to achieve their dreams, to use the Word to encourage people. However, it's like the Lord has been telling me:"Get your license to practice law first!" Since I feel like becoming a lawyer is actually steering me away from what I want to do for the Lord, my heart is not at all in my bar course preparation. On top of everything, I'm 42, never have been married, and I can't shake the feeling that I'm wasting time studying instead of trying to get married and have kids before menopause hits.
Sorry for the long comment, I had to pour my heart out... somewhere 😥! I didn't know Abraham embarked on his journey of faith from Ur to Canaan; that's real faith indeed to keep going on without even knowing where you're going but by obeying and trusting God. To a certain extent, Harriet Tubman did the same.
