Have you ever started your day with a seemingly never ending list of tasks/ chores that needed to be done, but before you know it… half the day is gone and you have not accomplished anything you had planned to do?
Do you seem to have more bad days than good?
Thankfully you have the power To Make The Best of Your Day EVERYDAY!. Even when things are not going your way.
Here’s how:
Get Proper Sleep
Whether you’re sleeping too little or too much, your mood suffers. Get on a better sleep schedule by learning healthy sleep habits.
A good night’s sleep sets the tone for the following day. It’s hard to give your all at anything if you’re too exhausted to even focus.
Try to stick to a reasonable bedtime. Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep. Some nights I’m guilty of trying to catch up on all my favorite TV shows in one night. But of course I suffer the next day.
Pray
There are so many reasons to pray. Stress relief is just one benefit of a praying lifestyle. God’s Word is full of admonitions to pray.
When you can’t count on anything or anyone else, you can always count on Him. Praying influences your state of mind, helping you relax and thereby reducing the effects stress.
Keep an Agenda
If you are bad with keeping track of time like me, keeping a daily agenda can make a huge difference in how much you get accomplished everyday.
There are tons of apps that can be downloaded on any mobile phone of your choice. Set an alert for each task and mark them off as you complete them.
I love the feeling of checking tasks off my list. It makes me feel like I’ve accomplished everything I’ve set out to do for the day.
Keep Calm and Don’t Panic
There will be days when it seems like everything that could go wrong, will! Don’t be discouraged. It all starts with how we “think” .
When negative thinking tries to creep in we must remind ourselves that God is BIGGER. He is bigger than the enemy. He is bigger than any circumstance. He is bigger than any obstacle. He is bigger than any sickness. He is bigger than any addiction.
Be a blessing to others
It may be hard to do, but I’ve learned that the best way to forget your own ‘problems’ is to help someone else with theirs.
It doesn’t always have to be a monetary or material blessing. There are countless ways we’re given the chance to be a blessing to others.
How do we do this? We pray for them. We encourage them. We let them know we love them. Do something that can bring a smile to someone’s face.
… And when you have done everything on this list and find yourself with a little extra time on your hands… do something today that can make tomorrow a little easier. “Due tomorrow” doesn’t necessarily mean “Do tomorrow”.
