A few months ago, I did a post on PURPOSE. If you missed it, read it here… (Are You Fulfilling Your Passion or God’s Purpose?) Many of you agreed with me, while many of you argued that one’s passion is indeed the same as God’s purpose. Bishop TD Jakes says: “You Shouldn’t Confuse Talent With Purpose”.
Just because you admire something doesn’t mean it’s your purpose. Don’t let yourself be distracted by something that should be a hobby. If you, like me, enjoy music, that doesn’t necessarily mean you should be the one directing the song. Buy some CDs or enjoy music on your headset, just don’t let it take your focus.
The minister and spiritual advisor also weighed in on how to find your passion and purpose! As well as the mistakes we make while looking for it, ones that can distract or misdirect us.
Check out what he had to say…
