When facing difficult dilemmas, there are ways for us to know if our decision making is truly a leap of faith. Likewise, we can know if our decision making is based on our flesh.
Here are three ways to know if it’s faith or flesh decision.
#1- Are you walking out your faith every day?
When we are pursuing God, reading/studying the Word, have an active prayer life, and are walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16, 22-23) every day, we can be assured that when faced with a big decision we will make the right choice. However, if we are pursuing worldly things, not in the Word, inconsistent prayer life, and are walking in the flesh, our decision making will be made in the flesh.
“For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God” Romans 8:5-8
It’s not possible for us to make good, godly decisions in our flesh. Our choices will always be to please self, rather than doing the will of and honoring the Lord
