Most of us watched and followed yesterday as Troy Davis’ fate was determined by the Supreme Court. I have to admit that I had mixed emotions throughout the day as I followed the coverage through several media outlets. I prayed, I cried, I became very angry, I even ALMOST forgot that I was a Christian for a second! Lol
With that said, NO ONE has the right to play God!!! Whether it be a guilty or not guilty! Don’t get me wrong! I’m not in any way or fashion saying that it’s okay to murder someone and NOT pay the consequences. What I am simply saying is that we shouldn’t have the power to take a life we didn’t create especially since we are guilty until proven innocent instead of “Innocent Until Proven Guilty”.
Roland Martin made a good point yesterday. If we care so much about cases like this, Why do we avoid jury duty? Our vote might make the difference! It could be a matter of life or death! Think about that!
