“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” – Matthew 6:34
If you love to travel, you know that your trip is so much more enjoyable when you travel light.
It is easier to transfer from one place to another and you have less worries when you have less and lighter baggage.
Life is a journey. As you travel on in life, you will find that traveling light is also necessary.
Unload your baggage; carry as little as you can so you can enjoy your trip.
Leave your worries behind. The Bible tells us, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
Worrying is not of the Lord. Worrying is the enemy’s tactic to steal away your joy and get your eyes off God’s promises and purpose for your life. He knows that if you have faith in God , you cannot be stopped ; you will bless the world, and ultimately bring glory to God.
Leave your past where it should be. You can never change the past, no matter what you do or no matter how hard you try to hold on to it. The past is over. There is no point in hoping that you could change it. If you will not let it go, you are only punishing yourself. You are stopping yourself from receiving more because your hands are still full. There is no space for new blessings because you have not unloaded yourself yet with that unnecessary baggage.
Do not bring destructive criticisms with you. Do not let one nasty comment stop you from trying again. Do not let one person’s view change the way you look at yourself. Other people’s opinion reflects their character and defines them not you. You are here for a purpose and no one can stop you from being the best that you can except for yourself. Sometimes it is hard to pursue a dream especially if the people you are close with or those whom you look up to discourage you. You would think what they say about you is valid because they know you. Always remember that you do not know how high you can soar until you spread your wings and fly. Do not let one ugly comment cut your wings off permanently.
Leave your failures behind. What has been done has been done. If you learned something from an experience, you still win something. You gained experience, you gained wisdom, and you are now more cautious of your next step. Bring the lesson you learned from your failures but never bring the feeling of failure with you. You are not your mistake.
You came into the world naked. You brought nothing, and you will exit the world with nothing. So there is no point in carrying unnecessary things with you.
You will leave nothing but a legacy; you will bring nothing but a memory. Leave and bring only the good. Discard of what is not and enjoy your life journey as you travel light.
Happy trip!
