15 minutes is all it takes. If you’re like me, It’s hard to find a quiet moment when you’re constantly on the go. Let me let you in on a little secret that works for me. I set an alarm, actually I set a few throughout the day. These alarms let me know it’s time to stop whatever I’m doing and just give God His glory. It doesn’t have to be much, just a thought, just a simple prayer, just a smile His way to let Him know I’m grateful for all He has done in my life.
You can spend this time praying, reflecting on the Gospel for the day, meditating, thinking about your dreams, your plans, and your action steps in achieving these plans.
This short time spent quietly is so powerful. Try it and see the difference. Those dreams long forgotten will be remembered. Your vision for what will happen in your life will be now clearer. Listed them down again. It will help you to consciously eliminate the negative thoughts; fears, doubts, bad memories. You will be able to focus on the things that matter.
It is not easy. Especially when you are away from home more than you are at home, when you have kids who don’t understand “not right now”. There will be a lot of destructions and inconveniences. But, each day you will learn to channel your energy to important things. You will learn to stay away from toxic thoughts that cause negative emotions. The Voice that matters will be clearer than it was before.
If He can spend 24 hours of His life devoted to blessing you, keeping you safe and showering you with wonderful gifts. What’s a quick 15 minutes of your time in the morning? If He puts you in His top priority lane, why wait for the day to end before giving Him your all?
