Have you seen the movie ‘Pursuit of Happyness’ ?  Chris Gardner, the father in the movie had reached rock bottom.  It came to a point that he had to sell his blood just so he can provide for his son.  They were practically homeless they slept in a public bathroom.  But their situation never stopped him from striving for more.  His determination to end the vicious cycle of just getting by was greater than the obstacles he faced.  Today, Chris Gardner is an American entrepreneur, investor, stockbroker, motivational speaker, author, and philanthropist.  It was such an inspiring story of one person who ended the vicious cycle.

If you want to fix the rift in your family, be the first to swallow your pride.  It is easier said than done, but that is how it goes.  Ending a vicious cycle means sacrificing a little and giving more of what might be needed.  If you want a better life, you have to make little sacrifices along the way.  A great life does not just happen; you have to work for it.  If you want the feud to stop, be the first to apologize and forgive.  Listen and understand the other person.  If you have done everything you can to make amends, but they still want to keep the feud going… Don’t worry about it! .  At least you can say to yourself that you have done your part and have given your best.  Leave everything else to God.

If you want to change anything, if you want to end a vicious cycle in your life, do not wait for someone else to step up and do it for you. You have the power to break every chain. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen. Start today.
