Hello all… I am in a very hard place right now. My husband and myself have been married for almost 8 years now. He has a daughter from a previous relationship, but we have no children together. When we first met, we did have the baby talk and we both decided that we would wait to start a family and not rush into it. I finished school, He finished school, and 5 years later we are still babyless. The only difference now is that I’m so ready and he’s still not ready. Every time I bring it up, it’s an argument. We both…

The number of romantic relationships that initiate online grows every day. Not only do we have digital means of discovering home towns, previous relationships, and taste in books and movies, we have a whole new way of communicating, too. As the way we date has changed over the years, so has the way we experience heartbreak. Instead of handing off a note or speaking face-to-face, now we can call, send a text, write an email, or, simply, stop talking altogether. Many relationships end online because that’s where they began in the first place. Men and women spend weeks and months…
My husband and I married young. It was a long distance relationship and I thought he was a Godly man that served in the youth group. I was naive and should have taken the signs before as red flags. He was emotionally and verbally abusive to me. I was so blind because I always gave him the benefit of the doubt. I should’ve taken the signs as a warning before we got married. There was stress, arguments every week. On the day of my wedding I didn’t want to go through with it but he convinced me and when I…

Some married folks are quick to complain about the flaws of their spouse. For some odd reason many of us think we’re perfect. It’s difficult to recognize our own errors, but easy to point out those of others. Go figure. When I was a young single I had this image of the perfect spouse. A mate who catered to my every need with limited flaws seemed ideal. Unrealistic, I know. What I didn’t consider was that in order to attract a worthy mate I had to be one first. I had to think about my role and responsibility as a…

After many years of not meeting someone that I believed would be a good match for me and me for him, … and someone I was willing to invest my time in and for, I finally have a special man in my life. We met about a year ago, and over the last six months we have shared, and learned so much about each other. We developed a friendship that we have recently recognized and acknowledged as now more than friends. As we continue to grow closer, of course we discuss even more personal things about ourselves. We share our…
I am in need of desperate prayers. My husband is an aspiring actor. He’s passionate about what he does. Problem is, it doesn’t pay the bills. I have stuck by his side, supported his dream, and picked up the slack for our kids for 5 years now, and I’m tired. When is enough enough? My husband hasn’t had a full time in 5 years. Only little acting gigs here and there, but nothing that we can depend on. Right now, we are so backed up in our bills, my car will be repossessed any day now. I’m trying very hard…
Hi, In a couple of months I should be receiving divorce papers from My Husband.
